Following the resignation of Mrs Phyllis Massey, Blithfield Parish Council are now able to co-opt a new member of the Parish Council.
Councillors play a key role in the life of a Parish Council – they are a vital cog in making life better for its residents
Who can become a councillor?
The Parish Council can consider any person to fill a vacancy provided that they:
a) are an elector for the parish; or
b) has resided in the parish for the past twelve months or rented/tenanted land or other premises in the parish; or
c) has a principal place of work in the parish; or
d) has lived within three miles (direct) of the parish.
